About Me
Pamela Hepp
I am a proud mother of three beautiful children and a wife to a very supportive husband.
After graduating, I dedicated several years to raising our young family. This experience helped me to grow and become aware of my goals and values as a person but also ignite and redefine my passion for teaching. I was able to launch my teaching career once again as a more experienced and connection-driven professional. From a very young age, I knew teaching was a personal passion of mine and I am honored to be a part of the profession.

Finding a way to connect to my students is my superpower! I am passionate about inspiring my students to engage in the excitement of learning and I believe in creating a team-centered classroom community where all of us feel confident to share and celebrate our unique experiences. I model kindness and respectful behavior to establish a safe and caring learning environment and I nurture that classroom climate to grow student’s beliefs in their abilities. In my classroom I incorporate a variety of teaching practices and materials to meet the needs of my students and I maintain their engagement by keeping my instruction creative and relevant. As a professional, I am committed to learning and pursue growth in my own abilities to ensure that my knowledge is secured in best practice methods.
Teaching is an intention to intrigue and grow our students' learning capabilities, to cultivate exploration and independence in our pupils. It is a mindful purpose to make our learner’s moments valuable, and everything is more valuable when we establish connection.

Behavior Management Philosophy
My behavior management approach is quite consistent with my philosophy of teaching. I believe first in connection with students. Students need to feel comfortable in their learning environments and they must trust in the guidance of their teaching professional. A connection between student and teacher increases not only a sense of relevancy of the information presented but also emphasizes student engagement thus a greater opportunity for student investment of their own education. Secondly, to secure an effective learning environment, it is important to establish concise expectations regarding class structure but also behavior management of students and teaching staff. I am a firm believer in providing my students with choices, however to emphasize positive group choices, my students need to witness myself and my teaching staff behave according to the same expectations. We create a cohesive team in my classroom and we value and respect the thoughts and ideas of everyone. All students have a right to a safe and effective learning environment and I believe that this can be achieved through mutual respect, clear expectations and consistent modeling of positive behaviors.
